2019 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Fundraiser Results
There’s a lot of things about working at Ace Hardware of Fort Collins that we love. We love helping our customers find just the right product, being able to offer them advice and tips, and working with each other. There are a few special instances throughout the year where we’re able to give back to the community that gives so much to us, and those instances are what bring us the most joy!
Ace Hardware nationally has partnered with the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals since 1991. This allows Ace Hardware of Fort Collins to participate in each activity to fundraise for our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, which is located in Aurora, Colorado. Although Ace is a national brand, each of our locations are independently owned, and so we love that we have the opportunity to give to our local communities. The Children’s Hospital in Aurora helps our neighbors, our families, and our friends. Our customers are also incredibly generous and supportive of these fundraisers!
These fundraisers include Round Up at the register, which happens each April and from the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas. Each summer we also participate in the bucket sale, where customers make a $5 donation and receive 20% off anything that fits in their bucket! Additional fundraising opportunities include chocolate bar sales, coin canisters at the registers, and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals reusable bags! Portions of each of these sales and events go to benefit the Children’s Hospital in Aurora.
The 2019 data has been announced, and we’re so proud of our customers and the generosity that thrives in our region of Ace Hardware stores! Ace Hardware of Fort Collins is part of the Rocky Mountain region which includes Ace stores in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Utah. Within this region, $531,027 was raised for our children in 2019 alone! Out of the 119 participating stores in our region, Ace Hardware of Fort Collins came in ninth for the highest amount raised at $11,070! This attests to the incredible philanthropic hearts of our Fort Collins community. Thank you for helping us to make a difference in the lives of our children and their families.
Store owner Tim Kenney continues to raise the bar for us at Ace Hardware of Fort Collins, and so in 2020 we’re determined to make an even bigger impact! Stay tuned for the upcoming CMN fundraisers throughout the year, starting with rounding up at the registers in April and then the Bucket Sale at the end of July!
