Yes, it’s been 100 years that Ace Hardware has been a reliable go-to for DIY enthusiasts around the country. On June 29 we’ll be celebrating this milestone and we hope you’ll join us! Festivities will happen between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Come on down to enjoy and learn some valuable tips from our grilling demos. This is not only a celebration to commemorate Ace Hardware’s long-standing commitment to the community but it’s also to thank our wonderful customers who have contributed to our success over the years.

Did you know the company was originally started in 1924 by five Chicago retailers? They called it Ace Stores, Inc. The inspiration for the name came from the courageous World War I fighter pilots, known as “aces,” whose daring spirit reflected the determination of the store owners. The concept for the company was to work as a group and purchase products in bulk to lower costs for themselves and their customers. The first product purchased under this model was sponges – an essential kitchen item! The company became Ace Hardware Corporation in 1931.

From those early beginnings, Ace Hardware has grown into a global leader for home improvement enthusiasts, with thousands of stores around the country serving millions of customers each year. In addition to serving customers, Ace Hardware makes sure to give back to those communities it serves. Since its inception in 1991, the Ace Foundation has raised more than $200 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
