Before choosing a snowblower, think about a few important factors:
Driveway Size: Smaller driveways, sidewalks and walkways may only need a compact, single-stage snowblower. Larger driveways and longer paths benefit from a wider clearing path and more powerful machine.
Snowfall and Snow Conditions: If your area regularly gets heavy, wet snow or deep accumulation, look for a model designed to handle tougher conditions. Clearing width and intake height are especially important when dealing with larger snowfalls.
Single-Stage vs. Two-Stage: Single-stage snowblowers use an auger to collect and throw snow. They’re generally a good fit for lighter to moderate snow and smaller areas. Two-stage models use an auger and impeller system to move larger amounts of snow, making them better suited for deeper snow, heavier accumulation and larger driveways.
Power Source: Battery-powered snowblowers offer a quieter alternative to gas models without the need for fuel or traditional engine maintenance. Look at battery capacity and estimated clearing coverage to determine whether a model fits your needs.
Ease of Use: Features like self-propelled controls, adjustable chutes, headlights and compact storage can make winter cleanup much more manageable.

Coverage estimates are based on manufacturer specifications and will vary with snow conditions and property layout.
EGO Power+ 21-Inch Single-Stage Snowblower
This model is a great option for homeowners looking for a powerful but compact snowblower. Its steel auger and Peak Power technology combine the power of two 56V batteries to handle packed snow and heavier accumulation.
It can throw snow up to 42 feet and includes LED headlights, adjustable skid shoes for uneven surfaces and a folding handle for easier storage. It’s a practical choice for sidewalks, walkways and driveways without needing a larger two-stage machine.
EGO Power+ 24-Inch Two-Stage Snowblower
For larger driveways and more demanding winter conditions, the 24-inch two-stage model offers additional clearing capacity. Its self-propelled design makes moving through deeper snow easier, while the 20-inch intake height helps tackle heavy accumulation and snowplow piles.
It also features adjustable forward and reverse speeds, a remote-controlled chute and 14-inch airless tires for reliable traction. With a throwing distance of up to 50 feet, it’s built for bigger snow removal jobs.
Both models feature EGO’s Peak Power technology, weather-resistant construction and LED headlights. They also come with a five-year limited tool warranty and three-year limited battery warranty.
